Tad Watroba describes himself as ‘the most fortunate mining engineer there is’. After more than 45 years in the business, his drive and passion are as fierce today as when he began his first job down a mine after graduating in 1973 from Krakow’s AGH University of Science and Technology, then known as the University of Mining and Metallurgy.

Through a series of workshops, masterclasses by talented chefs, screenings and, of course, the opportunity to sample premium Australian products and cuisine, Paris chefs and residents were exposed to the variation and high quality found in Australian cuisine.
Mining giant Vale SA and an Asian-owned metals producer are among the first to tap a Brazilian program that aims to cut red tape and speed up mining projects in the South American nation.
Roy Hill is set to be the first Pilbara miner to use a battery-powered electric locomotive to transport its iron ore to port. The Gina Rinehart-controlled company has bought the newest version of the FLXdrive battery-electric locomotive which has an energy capacity of 7 megawatt hours from US-based manufacturer Wabtec. Roy Hill chief executive Gerhard Veldsman said the company was committed to transforming the next generation of transportation by adopting advanced technologies that improve energy efficiency, lower operating costs and improve its rail and mining network.
Queensland Community Foundation Board of Governors Award for Outstanding Achievement. Mrs Rinehart was announced as the 2021 award winner at a special lunch held in Brisbane on 10 September. The award was accepted on Mrs Rinehart’s behalf by her nominee Courtney Talbot.

Executive Chairman Mrs, Gina Rinehart and all at Hancock Prospecting wish all athletes representing our country all the very best. We look forward to hearing the Australian anthem played, as proud medal winners achieve their well deserved and forever memorable time on the podium.
As Shadow Minister for Sport and Recreation, I would like to acknowledge the excellent performance of the Australian Olympic team at the Tokyo Olympics. Athletes not only exceeded all expectations but also gave the Australian sport-loving public a great morale boost during these difficult times.
As the Olympics come to a close and on the cusp of the Paralympics, I would like to thank Gina Rinehart and the Hancock Prospecting Group for their ongoing support of our Olympic team and of sport in general.
