Swimming WA proudly acknowledges the continued support of long-standing partner Hancock Prospecting, following exceptional performances by Australian swimmers at the 2025 World Aquatics Championships in Singapore. Among these was Western Australia’s own Kyle Lee (North Coast, c: Ian Mills), who secured a bronze in the men’s 10km open water event under sweltering conditions. Stopping the clock at 2:00:10.3, behind Florian Wellbrock (GER) and Gregorio Paltrinieri (ITA).

In recognition of the outstanding efforts, Mrs Gina Rinehart AO, Patron and Life Member of Swimming WA, and Hancock Prospecting have announced significant cash rewards for all medal-winning athletes across swimming and synchronised swimming events.

One of the nation’s most generous sporting supporters, Mrs Rinehart has played a significant role in strengthening the pathway from grassroots to international podiums. Her extraordinary commitment spans more than three decades, beginning here in Western Australia and extending across national sporting programs.

“I’m delighted to once again provide financial bonuses to our medal winners in the sports where I’m patron. It’s a way of saying thank you and showing appreciation for their dedication and achievements for our country, and for helping to build national pride,” said Mrs Rinehart.

Swimming WA is proud to continue its long-standing partnership with Hancock Prospecting, whose incredible support empowers Western Australian athletes to chase international success.
