Australia’s richest person, Gina Rinehart, has accused Mark Zuckerberg of doing nothing to stop the promotion of scams and ­“deceptive content” on his social media platforms, including Facebook and Instagram. Mrs Rinehart has personally written to the Meta chief executive to alert him to “numerous scammers” falsely using her name and identity online to “fraudulently solicit money from vulnerable people”.

Gina Rinehart’s $240m purchase ‘proof’ WFH is over

The impending purchase adds to Rinehart’s Queensland investments after she acquired a 14-storey Brisbane office building for more than $100 million in February. “The acquisition of this property by Hancock is a continuation of its investment in Queensland, where Hancock has extensive investments in energy via Senex, its joint venture with POSCO, along with extensive agricultural operations and a growing Brisbane office,” her company Hancock Prospecting said in a statement at the time.

Regulatory war via red tape on resources

Shadow resources minister Susan McDonald has accused the Federal Government of a “regulatory war” on oil and gas as red tape drags on more than $20 billion of investment.
