Swimming Queensland proudly acknowledges the continued support of principal partner Hancock Prospecting, following an outstanding campaign by the Australian Dolphins at the 2025 World Aquatics Championships in Singapore — a meet where Queensland swimmers stole the spotlight once again.

Leading the charge for Australia were some of Queensland’s brightest stars, contributing to the Dolphins’ 20-medal haul:

Individual Gold Medallists:

Kaylee McKeown (USC Spartans) – Gold in the Women’s 100m and 200m Backstroke
Cam McEvoy (Somerville House) – Gold in the Men’s 50m Freestyle
Meg Harris (Rackley Swim Team) – Gold in the Women’s 50m Freestyle
Mollie O’Callaghan (St Peters Western) – Gold in the Women’s 200m Freestyle

Moesha Johnson (Griffith University) – Gold in the Women’s 5km and 10km Open Water

These world-class performances were matched by a host of other medals across both pool and open water events, further cementing Queensland’s position as a powerhouse of Australian swimming.

In recognition of these remarkable achievements, Mrs Gina Rinehart AO, Patron of our sport, has generously announced cash rewards for all Australian medal-winning athletes. One of the country’s most dedicated sporting supporters, Mrs Rinehart has played a transformative role in the journey from grassroots to international podiums — especially in Queensland.

Swimming Queensland is honoured to continue its valued partnership with Hancock Prospecting, whose unwavering support fuels the dreams of Queensland swimmers — from junior levels to Olympic champions — and ensures our athletes continue to thrive on the world stage.
